PwC Discusses Enterprise Transformation in the Cloud at's Dreamforce 2011 Conference

Prominent industry cloud computing event will detail the shift to Cloud 2 - mobile, social and open cloud computing - with more than 200 exhibitors

NEW YORK, Aug. 31, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- PwC US is participating in discussions about enterprise cloud transformation at's Dreamforce 2011 conference ( The conference is held Aug. 30 - Sept. 2, 2011 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. PwC, a gold sponsor of the event, is at booth 1214 in the Dreamforce Expo.

"Cloud computing has had a broad effect on the role of IT," said Mark McCaffrey, PwC's practice leader. "Business complexity and broader technology adoption have forced a shift in the expectations of the IT function. On August 30th, PwC's Mike Pearl, a principal in PwC's cloud strategy practice, presented a session at Dreamforce 2011 also on the topic of Enterprise Transformation. The session showcased a global software provider talking about the transformation of their sales channels to accelerate growth and capture new market opportunities enabled by the cloud.
